LAVEEN
coalition
Building a drug free community
Redeem Neighborhoods helped develop the Laveen Coalition, a program under our fiscal sponsorship. As Laveen's very first coalition, it serves the growing community of over 80,000 residents. We focus on improving community quality and strengthening neighborhoods. By addressing issues such as substance misuse among youth and related problems, we strive to enhance public health and the overall well-being of the Laveen community.
Effective
Effective coalitions reflect the community and include broad representation across 12 sectors. If the community reflects multiple sectors to represent the community it creates a positive sustainable change as a whole!
Together
Often, community problems or issues are too large and complex for any one agency or organization to tackle. In these circumstances, putting together a coalition of groups and individuals can be an effective strategy for a healthier community.
Changes
Laveen is growing rapidly. With all of the changes happening in our community along with adding the opioid pandemic it is literally going to take a village! The first act of the Laveen's Coalition is to tackle the issues of substance abuse and bring future prevention to the community.
